Creating Reading Spaces in Schools

Reading in schools is a continuous practice that accompanies the learning process. Students read during lessons, at home, while preparing for classes, or during their free time. How can we arrange reading spaces at schools to support this practice? To influence students and foster a healthy reading habit, it is important to involve them in identifying the needs for organizing reading zones. This should be done not only in the library but also in additional places within the school, such as the lobby, lounge area, or schoolyard. School libraries should be positioned not just as book collections but also as places for psychological relief, creativity, discussions on joint projects, or solitude for reading.
