Package of essential interventions for noncommunicable diseases in humanitarian crises (PEN-H)

This package:

is designed to reduce morbidity and mortality from NCDs;

is primarily intended for family doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other clinical staff who provide care for NCDs in humanitarian crises;

contains algorithms to support community health workers in providing care for NCDs in
humanitarian crises;

provides guidance to healthcare workers on facilitating quality care for NCDs in such situations;

created by experts from the International Rescue Committee;

translated into Ukrainian and adapted to Ukrainian realities with the support of the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Act for Health.»

Clinical guidelines 1 to 6 and related clinical protocols contain minimum standards and priority actions for the treatment of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, and epilepsy in adults living in these conditions.
