Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) are the leading cause of premature mortality and morbidity in Ukraine. Preventing these diseases is the first step in combating this problem.
To encourage the population to adopt a healthy lifestyle, it is important to implement systematic communication and information campaigns in the field of public health.
The communication strategy covers the following issues:
- tobacco and alcohol use;
- unhealthy eating;
- insufficient physical activity;
- air pollution;
- mental health;
- road safety.
It also covers communication on NCDs in wartime, monitoring, and evaluation of communication activities.
The strategy will be useful for communication specialists in public health and related fields at the national and regional levels.
We are confident that this strategy will help improve the effectiveness of communication, contribute to the fight against NCDs, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
