The Khmelnytskyi Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention has opened a Knowledge Centre for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Khmelnytskyi. This modern expert space was created as part of the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Act for Health».

The Knowledge Centre serves as a hub for expertise, quality communication, and cross-sectoral interaction. Its goal is to make health topics accessible, practical and interesting. After all, knowledge that can be applied in practice provides a solid basis for developing healthy habits.

«The centre is equipped with all the necessary materials and technology for conducting online and offline training events. We can see that there is a great demand for training on public health topics. We encourage regional specialists working in NCD prevention and control, or related fields, to participate in future events, and to organise their own events at the Centre,» says Kateryna Rymarenko, policy coordinator for the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Act for Health».

The Centre employs specialists in non-communicable diseases who can help you organise events, provide advice and share methodological materials. If necessary, they can also participate as experts and speakers.

The Knowledge Centre team will ensure that specialists in public health, education, medicine, social services and other relevant fields can participate in health-promoting events, such as lectures, training sessions and meetings dedicated to healthy lifestyles and the prevention and control of NCDs.

The Centre's doors are open to all specialists in the region who work in the field of NCD prevention and control, or who are interested in these issues. In total, such centres operate in five other target regions of the project: Rivne, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava and Cherkasy. These centres were created as part of the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Act for Health», which received financial support from the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine.
