A total of 16 training sessions on «Important Skills in Times of Stress» were conducted by regional Knowledge Centers on Noncommunicable Diseases. The training sessions were attended by 320participants, including:
educators;
social and medical workers;
those working with internally displaced persons.
The training used a methodology developed by the WHO
The techniques proposed in this methodology are easy to learn and can reduce stress, even if practiced for just a few minutes a day.
During the training sessions, participants separately noted several exercises that they found most useful:
Concentration exercise (using food or drink as an example);
Exercise for identifying complex thoughts and feelings;
«Creating a mood» exercise;
«Being kind to yourself» exercise.
