The experience of the Healthy Libraries project proves that knowledge is power, and libraries can be a powerful tool.
Since the beginning of this year, as part of the project, 20 libraries in five oblasts of Ukraine have been learning how to prevent non-communicable diseases.
What interesting things happened in the Healthy Libraries?
▪️ Visitors learned how to become public health leaders.
▪️ They learned about the prevention of non-communicable diseases.
▪️ They stocked up on modern books about health.
▪️ Participating libraries equipped 'health corners' with medical equipment and sports equipment.
We believe that modern libraries can become healthy and inclusive places for communication, development, and even physical activity for children and adults.
And our pilot libraries can share valuable experience on how to achieve this.

The project was implemented by the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Act for Health» and «Living Modern Library» - Library Country Charitable Foundation with the support of the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine, provided through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
