Noncommunicable diseases are the leading cause of premature mortality and morbidity in Ukraine. The burden of NCDs is significant not only for the country's healthcare system and economy, but also for individual communities, as it is associated with disability, loss of working capacity, and premature mortality.
Therefore, the efforts of the state and its partners are aimed at developing and implementing effective prevention programs to reduce the burden of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, and oncology today.
On November 14-15, 2023, the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Act for Health» together with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is organizing a National Forum on NCDs to bring together all partners and stakeholders to jointly combat NCDs.
