An active forum «Healthy School - Healthy Community» held in Lviv

The forum was attended by Oleh Paska, Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Andriy Bolyak, Deputy Head of the Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Halyna Kolomoyets of the Institute for Modernization of Education Content of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Pavlo Khobzey, Director of the Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, heads of local education authorities, heads of partner educational institutions of the «Act for Health» project, physical education teachers who coordinate the educational field of «Physical Education» in communities, as well as physical education teachers of partner educational institutions of the «Act for Health» project.

The purpose of the forum was to:

- to familiarize the educational community with the project «Healthy School - Healthy Community»

- increase the level of physical preparation of children and adults in educational institutions and communities;

- implement the concept of daily school sports development;

- to implement the reforms of the New Ukrainian School, namely the model curriculum «Physical Culture», to introduce «Learning in Motion» technologies and to support the development of student leagues «Healthy Ukraine».

«Active Forum: Healthy School - Healthy Community» is being implemented by UkraineActive with the support of the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Act for Health» in cooperation with the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, with the assistance of theCommittee on Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Scientific Institution «Institute for the Modernization of Educational Content,» and the Lviv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education.
