Forum on supporting children's health held in Lviv

On May 12, with the support of the «Act for Health» project, a forum «Hear the Doctor. Healthy Child - Healthy Education» took place in Lviv.

The purpose of the forum was to draw attention to disease prevention and tools that help maintainmental and physical health.

More than 200 participants joined the event: school principals, volunteers, and partners of the LvivRegional Military Administration.

The forum program was extremely intensive:

  • A report by Iryna Mykytiak, advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, «All-Ukrainian Mental HealthProgram: Effective Help for Children»;
  • A presentation by Oleh Romanchuk, psychotherapist and child psychiatrist at the «Family Circle» center, «Nurturing the Resilience of Our Children»;
  • Presentation by Mariana Sluzhynska, coordinator of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Act for Health” in the Lviv oblast, «Preventing alcohol use: what works and what doesn't»;
  • Presentation by Natalia Ivanchenko-Timko, director of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease
  • Control and Prevention, «Healthy eating. The role of water.»

Oleh Paska, Orest Chemerys, Orest Suvalo, Olena Abramyuk, Maryna Hukasian, Dmytro Besh, and others also spoke at the forum.

Listen to the Doctor is a volunteer community of responsible resident doctors and senior medical university students, initiated by Lviv Regional Military Administration Chairman Maksym Kozytskyi. Its goal is to use a peer-to-peer approach to help school students and teachers obtain professional information in accessible language in a timely manner to protect their health.
