How to organize the learning process so that there is always room and time for movement? How to make physical education lessons exciting and fun?
These were the experiences shared and new skills acquired by physical education teachers from Lviv Oblast during a training organized as part of the «Act for Health» project in Lviv.
During the training, teachers learned how to:
apply new sports in the classroom;
develop exercises and practice the «Learning in Motion» approach in collaboration with
teachers of other subjects;
use inclusive approaches to increase the physical activity of children with special educational
needs.
In addition to the intensive curriculum, all partner educational institutions of the «Act for Health» project in Lviv Oblast received a set of modern sports equipment to work with the new modular program «Physical Education».
Move, move, move is the most effective recommendation for preventing many non-communicable diseases in both children and adults!
The training was organized by the NGO UkraineActive with the support of the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Act for Health» in cooperation with the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, with the assistance of the Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Scientific Institution “Institute for Modernization of Education Content”, and the Lviv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education.
