Training for medical workers in Lviv oblast
Training «Healthy School: Health Promotion and Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases in Educational Institutions»

35 nurses participated in the training course «Healthy School: Health Promotion and Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases in Educational Institutions», which took place on November 1–4 in Lviv in partnership with the Lviv Medical College of Postgraduate Education.

After all, medical workers have a very important mission—not only to be attentive to the health of each child, but also to help preserve it through educational work in various areas.

Therefore, over the course of four days, nurses from Lviv oblast were able to:

learn about the Healthy School Model and the main risk factors for noncommunicable diseases;

figure out how to effectively implement healthy eating and physical activity in educational institutions;

update their knowledge about caring for children with chronic diseases (diabetes, asthma, cardiovascular diseases);

master important skills for dealing with stressful situations and supporting children's mental health;

learn how to provide first aid, especially in wartime.

We would like to thank the SMART Medical Aid team, the Lviv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, the Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Institute for the Modernization of Education Content of the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine for their cooperation and financial support.
