One Care has begun selecting participants for a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme to prepare home caregivers in communities

The One Care project is now accepting applications for its Training of Trainers (ToT) programme, which is aimed at professionals who wish to train home-based caregivers in their local communities.

As part of the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Act for Health», the One Health agency, with the support of the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine, is implementing the Vseturbo initiative and announcing the recruitment of participants for the Training of Trainers (ToT) programme.

The training aims to prepare specialists who can conduct training for informal home caregivers, particularly those caring for relatives with limited mobility or people with chronic non-communicable diseases.

The programme will cover the organisation of home care, practical care skills, psychological support and adult learning methods.

Selection will be based on a competitive, two-stage process involving a review of applications and interviews with selected candidates.

Representatives of the following six target regions are invited to participate: Dnipropetrovs'k, Lviv, Poltava, Rivne, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytsky regions.

Preference will be given to candidates who work or live in:

  • Verkhnodniprovska and Zhovtovodivska territorial communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region;
  • Strilkivska and Mostyska territorial communities in the Lviv region;
  • Senchanska and Kozelshchanska territorial communities in the Poltava region;
  • Dyadkovytska and Dubrovytska territorial communities in the Rivne region;
  • Palanska and Zolotonosha territorial communities in the Cherkasy region.
  • Novoushitska and Medzhybizka territorial communities in the Khmelnytskyi region.

We invite candidates with experience of working in the medical, social or non-governmental sectors (e.g. primary care physicians, specialized medical care physicians, nurses, social workers and NGO representatives); who are willing to regularly and systematically train others in their community/area; who are motivated to work with vulnerable groups and teach others to do the same; who have good communication, empathy and humanistic skills; and who live or work permanently in the area.

 What participants will receive:

  • three days of intensive training with experienced experts in medical care, social support and adult education;
  • a trainer certificate upon successful completion of the training;
  • mentoring support while conducting your own training for caregivers in their community;
  • the opportunity to develop your expertise and expand your professional network.

The in-person part of the training (3 days) will take place in Kyiv in September 2025.
Accommodation, meals and travel costs will be covered by the organisers.

📅 The deadline for applications is 21 August 2025 at 18:00.
