Educational institutions in the Kotelva community are taking care of kids' health

The «Act for Health» project team continues to strengthen the role of education in disease prevention among children in the Kotelva community in Poltava oblast.

Educational institutions in the Kotelva community are taking care of kids' health

A preventive examination of children in the Kotelva community in the Poltava oblast, conducted in August 2022, revealed that 50% of them have health problems. To change the situation, the followingsteps are planned:

Revising the role of the school nurse. Community nurses participated in a training session organized by the «Act for Health» team. Its goal was to help medical workers better understand their new role and acquire the necessary skills.
Renovating medical offices in schools. Architects from the Playing team prepared a design project for a school nurse's office for three educational institutions in the Kotelva community. «Act for Health» will help equip the offices so that preventive measures can be carried out there and children will enjoy coming there.

After all, renovating medical rooms and zoning them will help children switch from the learning process: give their eyes a rest, increase physical activity, and achieve psychological relief.
