In 2023, five pilot communities conducted an information campaign on COVID-19 prevention.
With the support of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Act for Health,” vulnerable groups of the population received assistance, and our partners learned useful lessons, including that:
- The experience that a vaccination campaign should start with research to understand why the community is not getting vaccinated.
- The result of the communication campaign is an increase in the vaccination rate of the population, according to vaccination statistics before and after the campaign.
- Target groups can be influenced through their immediate environment. For example, parents can be influenced through their children.
- Don't wait for people to come for vaccination, but go to them and combine it with medical examinations.
