The long-awaited skate park in the Dykanka community in Poltava oblast

The event, organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Dykanka Territorial Community and the Dykanka Village House of Culture, attracted 58 people. Thirty-five young people performed skateboarding and scooter stunts, thrilling the audience with their tricks.

When the Dykanka community conducted a needs assessment, one idea stood out among the many suggestions: creating a skate park for young people. But the project turned out to be a real challenge!After conducting a tender and selecting contractors, the community held seven more meetings to determine the layout plans and create and approve rules of behavior at the site.

Due to bad weather, the official opening had to be postponed several times. But when the big day finally arrived, it was a real celebration for all residents! The next step was for the community to develop the area around the site and install additional sports equipment. Now this place is extremely popular among children and young people, becoming a real center for active recreation.
