Active challenges, online contests, and new equipment—this is how the Mezhyrich community in the Dnipropetrovsk oblast is moving toward a healthy future.

The community residents set themselves an ambitious goal to be active throughout the year and achieved incredible results!

- They held a challenge called «We are for a healthy lifestyle», which motivates schoolchildren to live healthily.

- They organized a drawing contest called «We eat HEALTHY!»

- They organized regular discussions on health topics, flash mobs, quests, and contests.

Most importantly, not only schoolchildren but also lyceum staff and parents are actively involved in all activities, creating a real community around a healthy lifestyle. Even distance learning did not prevent the adoption of healthy habits! Teachers organized an online «Master Chef» contest, wherechildren learned about healthy and nutritious foods.

With the support of the «Act for Health» project, the following items were purchased:

- A combi steamer

- A refrigerator with a freezer compartment

- Washing machine and dryer

- Sports equipment and sports gear

- A complete set of furniture and equipment for the medical office.

The Mezhyrich Village Council also allocated funds for the renovation of the medical office, food service facilities, and dining hall. We are proud of our active communities and their creative solutions for promoting healthy habits!
