The Vasylkiv community has begun providing medical services in remote areas of the community

The Ukrainian-Swiss project Act for Health, together with the Vasylkiv community in the Dnipropetrovsk oblast, has been working to strengthen the capacity of the primary health care center to provide services in remote areas of the community.

With the support of the project, equipment was purchased for the timely diagnosis of non-communicable diseases among community residents and internally displaced persons. The community established regular mobile visits to remote areas, and within three months, 1,320 people, including 105 children, were examined.

The examinations included:

- complete blood count;

- blood glucose and cholesterol measurements;

- rapid Covid-19 tests;

- blood pressure measurements;

- visual acuity tests;

- blood oxygen saturation measurements.

Thus, mobile visits have become a regular practice, bringing medical services closer to residents every day.
