Training course: «Prevention of NCDs in community development strategies»

The team of the Western Ukrainian Resource Center, with the support of «Act for Health,» conducted training for the pilot communities of the project.

Training course: «Prevention of NCDs in community development strategies»

The Western Ukrainian Resource Center team, with support from «Act for Health,» held a training session for theproject's pilot communities. Participants met on March 22 and 23 to discuss «Preventing NCDs in CommunityDevelopment Strategies».

As a result of the event, community representatives analyzed current strategies and determined how to include NCD priorities in them.

In addition, participants shared their experiences in developing and approving strategies, and the team of trainers familiarized specialists with the legislative nuances and stages of developing a strategic plan.

Now, pilot communities are tasked with making changes to existing strategies or developing new strategic plansthat include tasks for NCD prevention and control and improving the health of residents.

Western Ukrainian Resource Center's experts will provide guidance and support in this process.
