Health Fest held in Lubny

On July 8, Health Fest took place in Lubny—a health festival for the entire community. This is the third festival organized by the «Act for Health» project in pilot communities. There were even more educational and entertainment events, sports venues, informative lectures, and master classes for adults and children.

About 2,000 people gathered from Lubny, surrounding communities in Poltava oblast, and other oblasts of Ukraine to spend time improving their health and visit a dozen different locations:

- more than 15 types of sports and physical activities;

- workshops and lectures on healthy eating, consultations with a nutritionist;

- medical examinations and a relaxation area with massage and post-isometric muscle relaxation;

- training in providing first aid;

- the interactive Mental Trek exhibition;

- a library corner with a lecture by Darka Ozerna and books on health, medical and sports equipment for adults and children;

- performances by creative groups, aerial gymnasts, circus shows,

- craft delicacies from local producers.

Special thanks to the One Health agency and the Lubny City Council for organizing the event. Together with educational, cultural, sports, and medicalinstitutions, other communities in Poltava oblast, and partners of the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Actfor Health»: the Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Institute for the Modernization of Education Content of the Ministry of Education and Science, UkraineActive NGO, ZdorovBud NGO, U-Cycle NGO, Living Modern Library Charitable Foundation - Library Country Charitable Foundation, Red Cross of Poltava Oblast and Lubny City, Lubny City Center for Primary Health Care, «Thankful for Life» CharitableFoundation, V. Leontovych Lubny City Library, The Fitline Holistic Health Center, the Medicinal Plant Research Station of the Institute of Agroecology and Nature Management of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, and the Eco-Krai Farm, we created an incredible event that brought together people of all ages, abilities, and interests around the topic of health.
