Since the start of the full-scale war, the community has had difficulties providing medicines for children living with rare diseases, and the «Act for Health» project has provided funding for the purchase of necessary drugs.
To ensure that community residents have access to preventive examinations, a blood analyzer capable of performing 21 tests, glucometers, tonometers, and an otoscope were purchased for the Primary Health Care Center.
In addition, the center's team sent a mobile brigade to remote villages. As a result of these visits, some patients were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and hypertension for the first time.
550 internally displaced persons underwent preventive examinations and met with doctors, whom they later turned to for help.
Other useful health-related activities in the community included:
▫️ Lectures by family doctors on healthy lifestyles for community residents;
▫️ An educational lecture and book exhibition entitled «Your health is in your hands» by the Strilky Village Council Library.
The books were purchased as part of the «Healthy Libraries» initiative, which is being implemented by the Living Modern Library - Library Country Charitable Foundation with the support of the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Act for Health» and the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine.
